It can be reached from Villa Celiera. It is a vast plateau located on the eastern edge of the Gran Sasso that offers splendid routes in a solitary and fascinating environment, with routes ranging from 10 to 14 kilometers.
Description: the Voltigno plateau, the Pescara side of the Gran Sasso massif (east part), is a "karst basin" green with pastures and entirely surrounded by beech woods, an ideal terrain for hiking in the snow.
Among the different variants, currently skiers can try their hand at some regularly beaten tracks with snow groomers and with guaranteed tracing for the classic technique and for the skating technique. Some tracks touch the lookout areas around the basin, others provide for the connection from the base of the climbs to the picnic area.
