Horse riding along Aterno valley – short tours on saddle

Short tours on 3 days, along Aterno River and its mountain villages, caves anc ancient towers. You will spend the night in local buildings and, after a transfer to the riding stables of Campana, you will go horse ridinf choosing your favourite itinerary, according to your choices and needs.

You can choose the following itineraries:

• 1 Day. The caves of Stiffe: Easy tour from the village of Campana to the caves of Stiffe, visit of the amazing caves and their underground river and waterfalls. Light lunch/snack in Stiffe at La Villa country house.
• 1 Day. Around Fontecchio: Easy tour from the village of Campana to Fontecchio. Guided tour of the medieval mountain village, the “Spazio della Memoria” museum and the Oasis of the roe deer. You will see the Clock Tower, one of the oldest ones in Italy. Lunch Sirente restaurant in Fontecchio.
• 1 Day. Towards Bominaco: Tour from the village of Campana to Bominaco. Visit of the amazing frescos in San Pellegrino, of the church of Santa Maria dell’Assunta, and of the medieval castle. Lunch at “A Bominaco” restaurant.
• 2 Days. Le Pagliare. Day 1 – Trekking to the Pagliare: ancient rural village. Packed lunch. Trekking to Goriano Valli and guided tour of the medieval village and to “Vigna di More” local firm, with tasting based on local products. Dinner and overngiht. Day 2 – Arrival to Fontecchio. Guided tour of the medieval mountain village, the “Spazio della Memoria” museum and the Oasis of the roe deer. You will see the Clock Tower, one of the oldest ones in Italy. Dinner and overnight.
• 2 Days. The hermitage of Sant’Erasmo. Day 1 – Tour from the village of Campana to Bominaco. Visit of the amazing frescos in San Pellegrino, of the church of Santa Maria dell’Assunta, and of the medieval castle. Lunch at “A Bominaco” restaurant. Arrival to Caporciano, dinner and overnight in holiday farm. Day 2 – Trekking to the hermitage of Sant’Erasmo, amazing medieval building located on high mountains with suggestive panoramas. Packed lunch. Return to Campana.
