The Convent of San Colombo welcomes guests and travelers in an environment restored in full respect
of the original 16th century structure. Former Franciscan Convent, it is located at an altitude of 1088 meters above sea level, along the provincial road that from Barisciano enters the heart of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.
The complex is surrounded by a centuries-old oak forest and is also home to the Apennine Floral Research Center with
a beautiful Botanical Garden. An exclusive location to host ceremonies in an environment full of charm and history. The Church, completely restructured, can host civil ceremonies and congresses.
The eight rooms of the Convent of San Colombo all overlook the Botanical Garden, deliberately furnished in a minimal way, have every comfort: private bathroom with bathtub or shower, heating, wi-fi internet connection, LCD TV, courtesy set with natural soaps made by hand, hairdryer.
The breakfast, prepared as it once was, with local artisan products, is served buffet style in the Locanda del Convento.
